The journey of life-changing events began with a simple question from my kids: “Dad, why don’t we start our own business? ” I was employed by some other contractor in the insurance restoration industry and was content with the security of a paycheck and benefits. The more I thought about this, the more appealing it sounded to build something that had real meaning for ourselves.
